                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VINE STREET MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN FROM 7:00 P.M. ON FRIDAY,
                   SEPTEMBER 7, 1990 TO 1:00 A.M. ON SATURDAY,
                   SEPTEMBER 8, 1990 FOR THE BACK TO SCHOOL
                   STREET DANCE SPONSORED BY THE UTC CAMPUS
                   ACTIVITIES PLANNING COMMITTEE UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Vine Street between Douglas Street and
       Palmetto Street from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 1990 to
       1:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 1990 for the presentation of
       the Back to School Dance under the sponsorship of the UTC Campus
       Activities Planning Committee provided that the sponsor shall set 

       out flasher barricades and warning signs in accordance with the
       traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide at all
       times an access lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
